“This is the first run ever down a race track by the 2019 Chevrolet eCOPO, and it was only 80% power! The eCOPO is the first electric concept production race car produced by General Motors. This all new 800-volt battery packed race car has two BorgWarner HVH motor assemblies and produces over 780 lb-ft. of toque and over 780 horsepower! The eCOPO launched with a 1.30 second 60’ and finished the quarter-mile run with 10.142 second elapsed time at 130.85 MPH. Next up, mid-9 seconds passes!”

Drifting?

Lots of torque and plenty of cooldown time between runs. Bonus points since you can break traction without needing a handbrake.

Is going to be weird going to drag strips and everything is dominated by electric.

I want to see what an electric motor rig looks like for one that would compete in Top Fuel. Get 6000+ hp and come back to the strip please.

Dang, that would twist your head clean off.

Seriously though, that is impressive.  I just can’t get used to seeing a display of power like that without a proper rumbling engine.  (The sound from the S10 was glorious, though.)
